Teacher Aide

This is a fixed term, part-time role (5.5 hours per school day, term time only position) working with a child with specific needs.   

This role requires someone who is able to build relationships easily and who is able to think creatively to adapt learning activities for the student they are working with.   They must be confident to put firm, clear boundaries in place and have the ability to adapt accordingly when reading the students daily needs.  

Excellent communication skills are a must as the successful applicant will need to be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers and other supporting agencies.  

A clean police vet result will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.

Health & PE Teacher

Full time, fixed term (maternity cover).

Fixed term period through to 3 July 2023.

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and engaging teacher to join our Health & PE department and lead our sports programme for years 7-13. 

We invite applications from enthusiastic, innovative, NZ registered teachers who work in a way that is reflective and collaborative with a student-centered approach. 

The current teaching load is year 7 to 10, so NCEA knowledge and experience is not necessarily a barrier to being a successful candidate.

This role is also the teacher in charge of sport, this comes with a unit for these extra responsibilities which include leading the sports programme in Years 7-13, school sport communication, joint oversight of the sports department budget and supporting / training school coaches and managers. 

The successful applicant will be a team player with excellent communication skills who has a strong relational and responsive practice.   They will also have the personal qualities to effectively engage students and actively share our school vision of ‘Being the best we can – no limits!’
